Episode 62 – Pop Can Problems

This is our second-to-last episode as Poddy Mouths before we transition to our new podcast B Movie Breakdown. As always, any listener feedback on our new endeavor will be taken into consideration. This week we discuss new video releases such as American Horror Story and the candidate for a future Breakdown, FDR: American Badass. Done by at least one of the masterminds behind Pool Boy, FDR looks to be a new classic – check it out. Corey and I (Anime Dan) can’t seem to stay away from taboo (or rather, TaBoo-Boo) topics, as we share our disgust with the success of TLC’s white trash train wreck, and Corey is afraid that Lady Gaga will show him her Teeth. In news, I share a three year old news story about the Poopetrator’s potential cousin letting a small Nebraska town know to stay “golden,” while Corey finds a sure-fire way for men to live longer – but the juice is NOT worth the squeeze.

Finally, in our B Movie Breakdown we slog our way through 2010’s direct-to-video release of The King of Fighters. Most video game-to-movie adaptations are god awful, and this one did not disappoint, except in staying faithful to the games, providing good fights/fan service and making any kind of sense. If, however, you are a fan of wearing a pimp coat over your business suit, lengthy exposition that still manages to leave you confused and Asian boys growing up into white men then this film is for you.

For our final episode, we’ve decided to view the murder of another popular franchise with McG’s 2003 cinematic desecration: Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle. That’s right kids, we’re going out with a bang. This last episode should be as wild as Demi Moore’s bush back in the 80s, so don’t miss it!

We would also like to thank the Three Rivers Art Council in Minooka for providing us with our new Fortress of Solitude to record in.

Episode 61 – Blacula’s Back…ula

We’re still at the dynamic duo of Corey and me (Anime Dan) this week as we continue our preparations for our rebranding. Our current tentative is B Movie Breakdown. As always, any listener input on the subject will be taken into consideration. This week things get icky as Corey and I come up with some twisted, scatological sex ideas that make ass-to-mouth look tame. We then turn to news, where we find the story of a 15 year old who ends up becoming Eskimo brothers with his ACTUAL brother and Corey lets us know that he’s got an Eskimo brother of his own. Former podcaster Pat is still holding it down with Pete the Cuckold over at www.janitorspenis.com. Finally, we read through a list of the worst and weirdest vampire merchandise, including a reusable vampire-themed sanitary pad (because going green is important – even when you’re going red) and the (unofficial) Twilight dildo. Stephenie Meyer was not available for comment, as she was busy starring in her own painfully unnecessary biography comic.

Finally, in our B Movie Breakdown we cover 1973′s blaxploitation horror sequel ‘Scream Blacula Scream.’ Ever wonder why there’s never a convenient pile of stakes sitting around when you have to kill some vampires? Because you’re not back in the 70s, of course! Shakespearean actor Blacula binges on blood, makes an army of uppity-ass zombie vampires and chases after Pam Grier in this surprisingly slow low budget classic. But hey, at least we find out why it’s called what it is at the end. For our next Breakdown, since video game movies have proved to be hilariously awful on several occasions, we’ve decided to tackle 2010′s direct-to-DVD adaptation of The King of Fighters. If it’s even half as bad as Street Fighter, we should be in for a treat.

We would also like to thank the Three Rivers Art Council in Minooka for providing us with our new Fortress of Solitude to record in.

Episode 60: Oz Overload

This week we’re down to just the duo of Corey and me (Anime Dan) as Zagar and Cupcake Tony were busy both fucking bitches AND getting money with Jimmy Smits. This episode is significant because we are now tied for length with our previous podcasting endeavor AND because it’s the exact age that I like my women! (And we delve into the topic of granny banging extensively.) Feeling nostalgic for our old news stories we both retrieved some interesting finds for the week. Corey’s story has Japan retaining its title of the master of weird shit (literally) by rolling out a new poo-powered motor-tricycle. I on the other hand went looking for stories related to this week’s movie by googling “Wizard of Oz sex offender” and got a disturbing amount of hits, including a convicted sex offender casting children in major motion pictures. We again raise the topic of our upcoming rebranding, and listener feedback and suggestions on the topic are most welcome.

This week’s Breakdown is 1978′s blaxploitation/Wizard of Oz remake The Wiz. Long before Joel Scumacher killed the Batman franchise, he killed an entire genre with man thongs, bad trip imagery and an average of 4.3 songs per event. Diana Ross kills her acting career as Dorothy, Michael Jackson does alright in his pre-Wacko Jacko phase and Nipsey Russell plays a constipated Tin Man. It’s the most unnecessarily-padded production we’ve viewed yet – well, except for maybe Prototype X29A. After having such a fun, if drawn out, experience with blaxploitation, next week’s selection just cried out for viewing, 1973′s ‘Scream Blacula Scream.’ Because after 2 hours and 15 minutes of unnecessary songs we both need to scream.

Episode 55 – Mad Rape Beyond Thunderdome

I don’t ordinarily make rape jokes, but after this weeks episode, it’s pretty hard not to. We’re joined once again this week by Cupcake Tony and his friend Dildo Doyle. (Yes, Dildo Doyle.) After meandering a bit, we discuss several semi-recent movies, including ‘The Goon,’ with Seann William Scott raping people on the ice, and the new “Three Stooges,’ where the Farrelly brothers rape these classic characters. I also mention Kevin Nash’s ridiculous Road Warrior-esque comic series where he defies the laws of physics (and good taste) to deliver a raping to his enemies. (Check it out for yourself at: http://www.gumgod.com/derek_nash_comic_01.htm) Finally, our B-Movie Breakdown this week is 1986′s ‘Land of Doom,’ where the rape flows like wine. I’d go into specifics, but I don’t want to scoop our pod. Just think ‘Road Warrior,’ but without the big name stars. And the budget. And the awesome action. And the acting ability. And any semblance of a plot. And with lots of goofy rape scenes. Yeah. If you haven’t watched this movie beforehand, I strongly recommend watching at least the first five minutes before listening to the pod. You’ll either love it or hate it, but one thing’s for sure: it’s rape-a-riffic. And just remember, kids: it’s not “sloppy seconds” if the first guy doesn’t finish.

Since we’ve been mostly covering older movies, next week’s Breakdown will be 1998′s ‘Phantoms,’ starring Ben Affleck, Rose McGowan and (tee hee) Peter O’Toole, and based on the novel by Dean Koontz (tee hee hee). I’d also like to tease our Breakdown for two weeks from now. What would you say if I told you it featured David Hasselhoff? Now imagine The Hoff in a cheesy X-Files ripoff set in the Baywatch universe. Oh, yes. Get exicted: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FmdJTYNRDSw&feature=my_favorites&list=FL8vI4Om7hVQMnNuHuv8NOTg.

Episode 54 – Where Are You?

It’s just Corey, Alec and me (Anime Dan) this week. Apologies for only providing a triad, but Heather Locklear turned down our guest spot offer at the last minute – apparently a non-existant paycheck and nude photos of former podcaster Pat from janitorspenis.com weren’t enough to entice her. C’est la vie. Controversy involving sports seems to be a theme this week as we discuss shady shit with the Olympics and NBC spoiling its own show (this isn’t the first time they’ve pulled this shit, either, kids), Alec lets us know how he feels about the continuing drama at Penn State, and Corey catches a rape joke on WWE’s Monday Night Raw. We also delve once again into Corey’s Craigslist Closet with some wonderfully unsettling ads from our area, and I share a friends high school story about a shithead bro who sank under the weight of his own douchebaggery.

The snowball stops there though, as our B-Movie Breakdown of 1984′s C.H.U.D. aka C.H.U.D. the D.U.D. falls a little flat – a mediocre movie makes for a mediocre Breakdown. Sorry everybody, but Heather picked the movie this week. We promise we’ll do better next time with The Land of Doom, but for now, cream cheese steaks are on me. Remember you can also watch the movie before you listen via Netflix Watch Instantly.
